About North East Modified

North East Modified or NEM as its often referred to.

Originally established in 2008 to caters for those in the North East of England who all share the same passion for cars and motorsport and are at heart car enthusiasts

We understand that everyone has different car and everyone chooses to a different path with their vehicle. There were already many different sites dedicated to one group of cars, or to one style of Motorsport or modification, but here at NorthEastModified we aim to cater for all makes, models and styles.

NEM does not mind if you are building a show car, stripping a car for track use, going for major power, extreme audi or restoration project or simply have a car you enjoy dirving. What ever style or car you drive you are welcome here at NorthEastModified.com

the Begining

We were members of our local area sites, but again this was not ideal as we still didn’t have a central site to visit or place to meet.

Then NorthEastModified came to light. Already having a past history with various car sites, we decided to make NorthEastModified.com more than just a site. Instead we wanted to push NorthEastModified to be a club which represents a wide variety of car enthusiasts right across the north-east.

Work began on the site which included getting the actually site up and running and also having the forum online. The forum opened around June 2008 and slowly members started to join.

NEM started to pick up pace with new people joining us each week. We had a successful day at Modified And Performance North East in 2009, and through 2010 we continued to grow and here are still standing many years later!

The Rise Of Social Media

Back in “the good old days” social media wasnt as big a part of our lives as it is today.

Instead most of the online activity for NEM took place via our own online forum. A friendly place where our members could post photos of their cars, the meets as well as anything else that was going on on the car scene.

Now social media has made it even easier for every one to stay connected and as such NEM will also grow across all aspects of social media so that no matter of your preference you will be able to stay updated and interact with NEM

Still Here & Thank you

The founders of NEM are all now a little older, a lot wise and still here with our passion only growing each day!

Its great to see such passion amongst the members who have been with us over the years and also the new members just joining us now.

With out our members and comunity we would have made a as many friends in the car world and for that we thank you.

We look forward to our future but if we know one thing, not matter what life throws at you. NEM will still be here because you cant kill the passion we all have.
